The Nesquehoning Hose Company responded to a blaze on the 200 block of East Railroad Street around 7:30 a.m., officials said on Facebook. The fire escalated to two alarms before crews were able to bring the flames under control.

On GoFundMe, loved ones said the family "lost everything" in the fire, including two pets.

"I am raising funds to help Lisa Bennek and her family," wrote campaign organizer Denise Carlton.

"Her daughter Violet had to jump from the roof and was injured. Unfortunately, Lisa did not have house insurance at this time," Carlton said.

Firefighters from Lehighton also assisted at the scene.
